8:00 am - Log Book of the World (LOTW) - How to Join by John Wilder, WA5PFJ.

9:00 am - Deployment to Puerto Rico to Help with Communications after Hurricane Maria by Steven Posner, KX5SP, from Alpine.

10:00 am - ARRL West Texas Section Convention Forum by John Stratton , N5AUS, West Gulf Division Vice Director.

11:00 am - Radio Modes for Digital Email and Texting in Emergency Communications by Robert Grabowski, KB4RG, and Lew Maxwell, KB5HPT.

Robert and Lew will discuss and show us the workings of fldigi, Winlink 2000 and Winmor.  In addition to HF radios, they will present digital mode radio email and text using a handy talkie and computer or pi gate node.  This forum has been scheduled for 11:00 am to allow it to continue into the lunch hour if necessary.  It is very possible we will be setting up an online continuation to allow us to really learn to operate in these modes.

Gordo has been a licensed ham operator for more than 50 years and is widely known for his entertaining teaching style.  He has been teaching classes for the element exams for over 40 years and has written study guides for the three current element exams - Technician, General and Amateur Extra.
